Rent to Buy - A New Concept in Tenerife
The concept of rent to buy has proven to be very popular with our clients. We have been inundated with enquiries since the recent downturn in property prices and the shortfall in mortgage lending from the banks. In the words of many leading property experts, the tables have turned. TENERIFE ISLAND RENTALS are aiming to help as many people as possible get on the property ladder by taking advantage of this scheme.
How does it work?
When you first start to look for a property, tell us that this is the option you want. We will then find a property that is listed with us as a Rent to Buy Property. After negotiations are finalised between the tenant/purchaser and the owner, we will draw up a contract that states the terms and conditions agreed by both parties and this will be signed in the presence of a Notary.
The payments you make will be deducted from the purchase price, as per the terms and conditions of the contract. This is an attractive way for many people to purchase property as they can make the payments and still be saving towards their dream home.
Since the property market in Tenerife is presently very slow, this is an attractive option for both property owners in Tenerife as well as property purchasers in Tenerife. We have many clients now happily purchasing properties using this new scheme.
Is it for me?
You need to consider your finances, you could well secure your dream home in Tenerife using this method, and build up your funds whilst reducing the purchase price of the Tenerife property. Making the normal rental payments towards your own home instead of a standard rental agreement, where you are paying only rental and nothing is being deducted from an overall purchase price. This option allows both young and old to consider purchasing a property and securing it now in Tenerife.
