Tenerife - The best of the Canary Islands
There is definitely something that makes me feel better waking up in Tenerife. The warmth to the skin and the amazing blue skies are often taken for granted living here on the rock but it is one of the best things. Seeing that blue sky every day has a positive effect and makes you feel more alive. Many clients that I have met have travelled the globe only to come back to Tenerife. There is something unique that draws many of us back to this gem of the canaries time and time again. View from San Eugenio 4 Bedroom Villa The weather being the most popluar, feeling the sun on your face , feeling warm in the sun and being able to take long walks, cycle or swim or just to sit on a terrace and have a beer or glass of wine with a meal outside seems to sooth the soul. With the many...

Part 3 Starting the Journey - Making a Home
This week I have been driving to many different areas in the south of the island: Granadilla with its mountainous backdrop, Playa Paraiso with its stunning sea views and central Adeje, a busy bustling town with lots of coffee bars and restaurants. The reason for visiting these places was to show clients properties, hoping to find their ideal home before the autumn, a time when the winter swallows descend to the Canaries to enjoy the glorious sunshine. With rental property moving so fast, our agency may view a property whilst the current tenants are in packing mode or perhaps showing a property that has just been taken on that may need maintenance or new furniture. I always need to provide an explanation about the property and what it will look like when they move in, trying to...

Tenerife - Real Stories
July and August are always a busy time with having 3 kids on Summer holiday. With my calender hanging in my kitchen as the focal point for everyone - as we all go in different directions. At the same time the Island is busy and more than ever this year. I have met many new comers holidaying in Tenerife and I can't believe it is nearly the end of August already. When I find myself running in all directions I remind myself of a motto that I hold dear which is "remember to be kind to yourself" to take the stress away and to take some time out. One of my favourite things in Tenerife is to enjoy a trip to a Spa. Just up the road from our office is a super spa inside Paradise Park Hotel . https://www.hotelparadisepark.com/en/ over the last few years I have got to know the girls well...

Starting the Journey - Part 2 - Research !
Research, Research, Research So you have decided to start a new page in your life journal. Consideration has to be given to which areas you want to live and, depending on your own personal situation, near an area where you may work, near a school for your children or simply having things on your doorstep to enjoy your free time. In the south of Tenerife there are so many different areas to live, each with their own unique flavour. Known as the island of contrasts, weather can change in as short a distance as a five minute drive; where one town is basking in glorious blue skies, round the corner can be overcast and cooler. With the island attracting so many nationalities over the years, these layers combined with a mixture of different social mixes, make many...

Starting the Journey - Moving to Tenerife
One of the great things I love about my job is the great mix of people that I have the joy of meeting. This week was no different: from a couple that lived near Moscow that loved hangliding, to a chap from the UK who recycled tyres. All have one thing in common, they love Tenerife. It got me thinking about the reasons we all have taken that journey into the great unknown and come here to start a new life. My own journey started many years ago as a young mum with a toddler suffering from chest infections and eczema. Struggling to cope with the damp and cold weather in the UK, spending nights worrying about his breathing, we took a trip to the sun. Our first family holiday abroad in Fuerteventura brought suprising results due to the fantastic weather conditions of the...
